Bev's Blog: Her Wisdom

What Does “Living from the Heart” Mean?

Living from the Heart requires an understanding that all intelligence does not come through, or from, the mind. The highest Intelligence comes through the heart. When the heart is used collaboratively with the mind, there is a coherence created, and this then allows an Intelligence, beyond the limited individual ego-mind, to flow to a person, guiding him or her to live an empowered life.

Living from the Heart additionally means we acknowledge our heart intelligence and allow our minds and hearts to communicate in a constant dialogue…bringing forth our unique and individual wisdom.

One of the main benefits of learning how to live from our heart wisdom is we live from love and not fear – which is always a position of power. This brings about life balance too. From this point of equilibrium, we experience life without stress and an understanding of our soul’s purpose.

The hearts offers different perspectives of our lives than our minds. The mind can get stuck, like a scratched CD, and continues to give us the same ole thing in multifarious versions. It is like being on an endless loop.

womanAsk Yourself: "Does my mind ever feel like a hamster on a wheel?" The second it does, you know you’ve slipped from your heart and are stuck in your mind. The heart does not get stuck.

We must do our best not to confuse the sacred heart center, the portal to our soulour wisdom – with the romantic-Hallmark kind of heart that feels hurt, sad, weepy, gets mushy, or becomes disappointed. The heart center uses the soul’s compassionate eye to view life. It comprehends the illusion of life and all of its drama; hence, the heart cannot judge any person or situation. This is Real Wisdom.

The brilliant author, Joseph Chilton Pearce, writes in his thought-provoking book, The Death of Religion and the Rebirth of Spirit: A Return to the Intelligence of the Heart, "The heart has a complex neural structure or ‘brain’ that connects with the brain in our head and every organ in our body.”

Through science, Pearce’s work affirms what spiritual teachers have known for eons to be true – the heart is the source of Real Wisdom.
