It took me years to figure this out for myself and I am pleased to now share this process with you.

One day, I awakened to how significant we each are, and how we each have a Soul's Life Purpose; this is not to be confused with an ego-driven purpose. This is a purpose that is a “must do”, without it, the world is not complete and neither are we.

 

Here’s what I discovered …

I am sure you have already figured out that Life is not about the fat checks, fancy cars, enormous houses, fame and fortune. These are all creation of the ego-mind and lead to a life of stress and materialism. You already know deep down inside that life needs to be aligned with the heart-mind. Life is about your living God’s Intention of you.

When we ask our egos to take a back seat…we begin to realize that we already know what really matters. “Things” are not on the top of the list, rather fulfillment. That fulfillment often feels so elusive, and it ultimately comes when our hearts and minds are engaged, living our soul’s dream of who we are.

We have not been created to live the so called “purpose driven life.” The word “driven” is the clue here that Spirit is not involved, but rather the ego.

When the ego is in charge we can never feel satisfied or fulfilled…the ego always wants more; therefore, we never feel complete.

Your Soul knows its destiny.

Once we understand how to listen, and connect to our soul’s wisdom, the entire Universe converges to support us to live those desires.

 

How it all unfolded …

For years I wondered why I was not feeling successful, even though ‘on paper’ I was. I had followed the guidelines to success, even dressed for success; however, something was amiss. As soon as I would accomplish one goal, that longing or nagging would start up again, and I would be off chasing another goal, making another plan, working that plan, and ultimately repeating this vicious cycle.

I was successful in the material sense and a certain amount of ego satisfaction came from that, but my heart and soul felt empty while I stood in the glow and glitter. Somewhere along the way I lost myself, I felt disconnected from life. I did not have an answer to my problem. So, I kept climbing the ego’s ladder to more success, until one day I collapsed.

Achievement no longer excited me. Why? I did not know.

Finally I recognized that I did not like the path I was living. There was something unnatural about this process. I could not place my finger directly on it, but it did not “feel right”. I watched others follow a similar path and they too did not seem happy, except temporarily.

‘What is missing?’ I thought. ‘I’m living the “American Dream” and am still not happy.’

I continued my introspection to try to discover what was wrong with my life. I had developed a personal experience with God-dess and even that did not take away the ache of emptiness within my bosom. I wanted to discover the source of my discontent and longing.

After years of study, prayer, and meditation, the answer came to me.

The way I had been accomplishing my goals was based on a method or strategy that no longer fit me. I no longer felt comfortable doing the things that I had been taught to do to win, even when they said the outcome would be a “win-win”.

I did not like the mindset of the business or corporate model I was using in my desire to achieve. I came to the realization that the ‘model’ I had been using was against all Life. It went against the natural flow of the Universe. In other words it broke the laws and principles of God-dess. I woke up to realize that I was working in a patriarchy managed world, but I needed to be able to create using what was natural to me as a woman. There was no balance between male and female energy. What was missing was the Divine balance of life…male and female energies working hand in hand as one. Life was out of balance. I could see this happening across the corporate world, for men and women alike. Balance was missing.

My quest had been answered. I was not living my soul’s dream, and I was not following my inner-knowing. I had been living other people’s dreams of me. I was going against my very nature to achieve. No wonder I didn’t feel satisfied. I was not living my soul’s dream, but rather an imposed corporate/business nightmare.

Once I learned to align with my soul and discover what God’s intention was for me, my life took off. Maybe not in the sense of how the world measures success; however, in a way that made my heart sing, my soul rejoice and my life abundant.

I wanted to make a contribution. I wanted to do ‘good’ and do ‘well’ at the same time. Was this possible? Yes, and hell yes, it was! This truth resonated with me and I knew it from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. I set out to discover exactly how I could create this life and begin to live from a rich connection to my soul and heart-wisdom rather than my ego-mind.
